The municipality of Middelburg has turned the National Prevention Agreement into a local plan. This was drawn up in cooperation with regional stakeholders and under the guidance of expertise centre health differences Pharos.
In doing so, the municipality focuses on five pillars to promote residents' health, namely: smoking, alcohol, healthy weight, mental health and healthy environment.
The Healthy Region research group has been involved in the local prevention agreement from the start as a knowledge partner and to carry out the monitoring and evaluation. Hereby, the evaluation is deployed from three angles to get the most complete picture possible of the impact:
- A process evaluation based on interviews with the subprojects
- Development of an 'impact score' for all subprojects and a corresponding database
- Annual (visual) representation of the network of stakeholders in the municipality and insight into everyone's role with also a comparison of the network during the project.
