It is expected that more people will live in delta areas in the future. Sustainability is a requirement for keeping these areas habitable. Energy transition is therefore an important issue for delta regions.

There are sufficient energy sources available: wind, sun and running water. The HZ's applied research into energy focuses not only on wind and sun, but also on running water as a source. Is it possible to generate energy from it? What technology can be used and what are the costs involved?
