His personal research focus is on applied, future technologies that solve issues of system integration of renewable energy sources (solar, (offshore) wind, tidal), especially in the context of industrial and maritime processes in Zeeland and Flanders.
He has an eye for solutions such as flexibility and storage through batteries, hydrogen and flexible thermal processes/storage.
