    International cooperation

    We work together with several educational institutes which enables us to organise exchange study programmes. The purpose of these study programmes is to prepare students for an eventual transfer to a bachelor degree programme at HZ

    Some courses of HZ Bachelor programmes are being taught at partner universities in China.

    The objective of the collaboration between Chinese Universities and HZ University of Applied Sciences is the exchange of knowledge. The purpose of the teaching programme is also to prepare students for an eventual transfer to a bachelor degree programme at HZ University.

    Common ground
    The considerable areas of common ground between HZ partners in China and HZ are essential for a successful cooperation. The position in a watery environment, problems related to ecology, water technology and safety, the presence of big ports, logistics and International Management are the main study and applied research fields on which HZ cooperates with its Chinese partners.

      JiangSu Chemical College of Technology works in close cooperation with HZ on the water management study field. Water technology and ecology is not only a hot topic for both China and the Netherlands, it is one of the world's most pressing topics

      HZ cooperates with JiangSu Institute on the Business, Logistics and Tourism
      study fields.
    • Shanghai Maritime Institute
      HZ has a long-standing cooperation with Shanghai Maritime Institute.
      HZ lecturers of the HZ engineering department regularly give lectures at SMU.

    HZ University of Applied Sciences has signed a cooperation agreement with iCon College from Athens. iCon College in Athens is a private educational institute in Athens, recognized by the Greek ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. Students from iCon, who complete the first two years in Athens, will continue their studies in International Business and Management Studies in year 3 and 4 in Vlissingen, leading to the Bachelor of Business Administration.

    HZ University of Applied Sciences has been awarded the new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027.
