Jean-Marie Buijs

Jean-Marie Buijs is Professor of Applied Sciences in Governance of Regional Transitions at HZ University of Applied Sciences and the Delta Climate Center.

He leads a research group working on applied knowledge to better understand and strengthen the administrative capacity of delta regions in areas such as water, energy and spatial planning. The research group is part of the Delta Climate Center, a unique collaboration between applied and academic knowledge institutions in Zeeland. Jean-Marie holds a PhD in Public Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has worked at HZ since 2013, where he has specialised in the governance of transitions in delta regions.
