Iris van de Velde

Iris van de Velde BN MSc is a teacher-researcher at HZ University of Applied Sciences. She is a lecturer in the nursing programme and a researcher in the Healthy Region research group. Supervising and coaching nursing students in project-based work, the use of care technology, promoting self-management and the promotion of healthy behaviour are tasks which she performs on a daily basis. Iris is also active within the HZ in setting up interprofessional collaboration by having students from different courses work together on the same project assignment from existing practice. Input for project assignments from practice are very welcome for this. In her role as researcher, Iris is involved in various international and regional projects within the Healthy Region chair. In the design and implementation of these projects, Iris works together with students from the nursing programme.
