Housemates

Your first friendships often start with your housemates. When I arrived, I lived with five other students: three from Bulgaria, one from Poland, and one from the Netherlands. Through cooking, grocery shopping, and managing household chores together, we quickly bonded and became close friends. Later, I moved to a new house where I met even more incredible people from countries like Germany, Lithuania, and Romania, with whom I continue to share wonderful experiences.

In class

Friendships extend beyond your living arrangements. University is another prime place to meet new people. During the orientation week, you’ll have the chance to connect with a myriad of students, many of whom you might not remember initially. It took me a week to recall all their names and countries, but it was worth it. I met students from different programmes and years who were kind enough to show us around and keep us company. We still meet up weekly and enjoy each other’s company.

Join the community
