Ruben De Cuyper is a sociologist and received his PhD from the Faculty of Law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in 2015. Since 2018, he is team leader and senior researcher at the HZ Knowledge Center Zeeland Society. Ruben conducts research on quality of life in Zeeland as experienced by residents. In doing so, he is particularly interested in relocation movements (of young people) from and to Zeeland, experience of residents regarding their physical living environment and in issues of social participation and social engagement.
