Gabriëlle Verbeeke has been working as a researcher at the Aquaculture in Delta Areas lectureship since 2017. The HZ University of Applied Sciences is not an unfamiliar field for her. Gabriëlle studied Aquatic Ecotechnology at the university. She graduated in the aquaculture research group on the qualitative and quantitative cultivation of the marine microalgae species Rhodomonas sp. under the supervision of Christos Latsos. After graduation, she immediately started working in the research group. Among other things, she is working on the Coastal Laboratory project in the Waterdunen nature reserve. The coastal laboratory serves as an experimental garden for saline crops. New ideas are tried out together with entrepreneurs.
