Daniëlle Mostert-Al

Lecturer-researcher

Daniëlle has a varied background within the social domain, from government to implementation. After studying liberal arts and sciences (Roosevelt Academy, Middelburg) and social parenting issues (Utrecht University), Daniëlle worked as a policy advisor and project leader within the social domain for various municipalities in Noord-Holland and Zeeland from 2012-2017. In 2017, she made the switch to education and started working as a teacher and graduation coach at the Social Work programme at HZ University of Applied Sciences. She taught a variety of subjects, supervised graduation research, coached a graduating class and had a major role in developing a new curriculum. In 2019 she made a short transfer to Emergis, the large mental health institution in Zeeland, to work as a project leader. She led a variety of projects (including the implementation of the 'Wet verplichte GGZ') and set up a project office for Emergis.

In 2020, she returned to the HZ, now in the role of teacher-researcher at the Expertise and Valorisation Management knowledge centre. In this role, she will train students, lecturers and the field in working with the systems approach and social theory to find solutions for complex social issues. Her broad background helps her, and hopefully others, to look at situations from different perspectives and thus gain a better understanding of the whole.
