Daniëlle Mostert-Al

Daniëlle has a varied background within the social domain, from government to implementation. After her studies in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Roosevelt Academy, Middelburg) and social education issues (Utrecht University), Daniëlle worked between 2012 and 2017 for municipalities in Noord-Holland and Zeeland as a policy advisor and project leader within the social domain.

In 2017, she made the switch to education and joined the Social Work program at HZ University of Applied Sciences as a teacher and graduation coach. She taught a variety of subjects, supervised graduate research, coached a graduating class and had a major role in developing a new curriculum.
In 2019, she made a brief transfer to Emergis, the large mental health institution in Zeeland, to work there as a project leader. She led a variety of projects (including the implementation of the Compulsory Mental Health Care Act) and set up a projects office for Emergis.
In 2020 she returned to HZ, now in the role of lecturer-researcher at the Expertise and Valorization Management knowledge center. From that role, she trains students, teachers and the field in working with the systems approach and social theory to find solutions to complex, social issues. Her broad background helps her and thus hopefully others to look at situations from different perspectives and thereby gain a better understanding of the whole.
