Currently, new vacation parks are being built that will remain in use for a number of years, after which the homes are sold to private individuals. A new park is then built to meet the guests’ wishes and needs. This means that more and more parks are appearing in the Zeeland landscape, which will also become outdated within a few years. Through circular construction and the reuse of raw materials, vacation parks can continue to meet the guests’ needs. Materials can be reused, and modular construction makes it easy to make adjustments to existing vacation homes.
The project aims to raise awareness among (Zeeland) entrepreneurs in the lodging and recreation sector about the market opportunities presented by a circular approach within their industry. The Coastal Tourism Knowledge Center is collaborating with various partners on a website that will share the knowledge and experience gained with interested entrepreneurs and other stakeholders.
