At HZ, we believe it is important that everyone has access to our digital resources. That is why, starting in 2025, we are working on improving our websites and applications to improve the online experience so that all our students, staff and visitors can use them.

- Accessible navigation and structure
- Support for screen readers and keyboard control
- Videos with subtitles and transcripts
HZ complies with the international WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and Dutch legislation on digital accessibility.

Our digital accessibility commitment
We started the process of improving our digital accessibility in 2025. We are now at the next stage, where we are working on specific optimizations based on audits that have been carried out. We are not just focusing on our websites, but on all digital content carriers.
Our current commitment includes:
- Preparing to make all content carriers, such as videos and other multimedia, accessible and optimized.
- Implementing optimizations based on accessibility audits.
- Continuing to develop hz.nl to make it digitally accessible.
- Further optimizing our digital learning environment Learn and other HZ applications.
