The Interreg project MONUMENT, which ran from 2020 to 2023 has successfully concluded. The focus of the project was on increasing the resilience of informal caregivers so that people living with dementia can continue to live at home for longer.
The informal caregiver was recognized as the key actor providing services to people living with dementia. To unburden caregivers and their loved ones, twelve European partners realized Odensehuizen in Belgium, France and England and provided technological innovations within these Odensehuizen.
The Odensehuizen offer professional support, peer support and leisure support for family caregivers and people living with dementia.
MONUMENT's final report can be read here. It was produced by the research group Healthy Region of HZ University of Applied Science and Probis.
