Valeria was looking for an environmental study and came to HZ University of Applied Sciences to study Water Management. Valeria explains about the practical approach and the real life study cases to tackle climate change.
Why did you choose HZ?
"I found HZ through Bachelor's Portal while searching for a water-related study. I wanted to do something environmental and meaningful. The Netherlands stood out to me as a global leader in water management, which made my decision to study here an easy one."
How do you experience the study?
"HZ is very practical. We constantly work on different projects. Recently, we had a project on New Orleans in the U.S., where we analysed the area and its climate challenges, then developed solutions to address them."
What makes HZ special?
"I would describe HZ as practical and personal. It's a small-scale university of applied sciences, so everyone knows each other. The teachers know all their students as well, which creates a great learning environment."
