Why did you decide to study at HZ?
"I knew I wanted to study something related to water and different from the French educational system. I started looking on the internet for a university that fulfilled those two criteria and found HZ. I happened to have a friend who was already studying there and who gave me some information about it. Afterwards, I came to the International study fair in Paris and asked all my unanswered questions to the teachers and students there. I got really motivated when I visited HZ during the open day to have a final and closer look and then I made my choice."
Why did you choose this specific study programme?
"I am currently studying Water Management. It doesn’t have anything to do with my school background. I think this is HZ’s real strength. Having a lot of study options coming from any study track. I have always been passionate about everything related to water. I have been on a boat since I was 2 years old and traveling and acting to protect the environment is also one of my hobbies. Furthermore, it is very important to me to protect this most important resource that is water."

What would your advice be to a student applying to HZ?
“I would strongly suggest to anyone thinking of applying to HZ to visit the open days to meet students and teachers and ask all your questions. Moreover, you can really understand and discover the different studies and goals. You have a wide variety of different study programmes at HZ. It is important to have a close look at all of them to see which one suits you best. Your best option is to find a student who is already studying in the field you want to choose and who can give you more details about the study experience. To do so, you can contact one of us. It would be a real pleasure for me to help a new student coming to HZ.”
