Who will be the successor to Ocean Ceramics? On Tuesday 27 May, the HZ Changemaker Award will be presented for the second time. Moreover, we will open the Impact Lab in the HZ tower. So mark this date in your diary, from 12:30 to 17:30. You are cordially invited.
The HZ Changemaker Award is an award for a (former) student, lecturer or employee of HZ, who contributes to the social missions of our institution in an ‘exceptionally entrepreneurial way’. The winner receives an award and a sum of money. The Changemaker Award is an initiative of Ageeth van Maldegem's professorship New Business Models.
The winner of the first Changemaker Award was Ocean Ceramics, the company of former HZ students Justin, Sem and Daan. They developed a unique Zeeland product: crockery made of mussel shells.
Doing business with impact
The award ceremony is part of an event focusing on entrepreneurship with impact. This afternoon, discover how you can make an impact as an entrepreneur with stewardship ownership and visit one of the inspiration hubs. We will announce the programme in a few weeks' time.
Opening of Impact Lab
HZ's Impact Lab will also be opened on Tuesday 27 May. This is where ideas and people come together to tackle big social issues. Students, researchers and experiment and create in the lab, arriving at solutions that make a real impact.
