HZ University of Applied Sciences and Dow Benelux signed a Memorandum of Understanding two years ago to underline their cooperation. Since then, the parties have set up many projects and cooperated in many areas.

For example, in the spring Dow participated in the Sustainable Development Goals Hackathon for students and was involved in the ICT project week. During this week, Bert ter Steege of Dow asked a group of students how to easily determine the chemical content of a bottle. In addition to a working weighing system, the team developed a method that sends a message if the contents of the bottle fall below a certain level.

Guest lectures
Dow staff also regularly give guest lectures at the HZ and students can do an internship at the company in Terneuzen. A complete overview of the projects and collaborations can be found in a newsletter that was recently distributed to the staff of the HZ and Dow. See https://edu.nl/pwbje. The newsletter is in Dutch.
