The 'Water Connects' event turned out to be a great success on Friday. Over 300 students, former students and teachers had turned up for the day organised as part of the 33.3-year anniversary of the Water Management course.
At HZ University of Applied Sciences and the JRCZ in Middelburg, visitors listened to a lecture by Eva den Boer, former Water Management student and deputy mayor of Your North Sea, attended workshops and, above all, reminisced with each other. Between noon, the students of the different year groups had their photos taken at the JRCZ. You can see these and other photos from the event on this page.
Singing water managers
At the end of the day, all visitors in the auditorium of the HZ were treated to a musical performance by the participants of the 'Water and singing' workshop.
Where water flows
Furthermore, everyone received a copy of the booklet 'Waar water stroomt', written by Paul Vader. In it, the former lecturer of the Aquatic Ecotechnology course describes the history of the course and looks to the future. A digital version of the booklet can be read here.
