Today the annual hbo monitor of the Research Center for Education and the Labor Market (ROA) of Maastricht University was published. Conclusion: hbo graduates are doing well on the labor market.
A total of nearly 25.000 hbo graduates participated in the ROA study. They completed their studies in the 2021/2022 academic year and were approached a year and a half after graduation. Below are some key results:
- About 90% of all full-time students found jobs within 3 months.
- Of the graduates, 80% immediately found a job at at least college level.
- The unemployment rate among recent college graduates is low at 2.8% in 2023, as in previous years.
- The average gross monthly wage was € 3.242 in 2023.
- 78% of graduates report having found a job that matches their studies.
- Of the hbo graduates, 70% indicate that the study provides a good basis for further development of knowledge and skills (69% in 2022).
Results HZ
A total of 397 HZ alumni completed the HBO Monitor. Below are some important results specific to HZ:
- 85% of HZ graduates would choose the same program again.
- 84% feel there is a good fit between their current job and their completed education at HZ.
- 70% of HZ respondents are satisfied with their studies. This is higher than the national average of 64%.
