Construction of the Joint Research Center Zeeland in Middelburg has started. The first foundation of the new research institute at Het Groene Woud has been laid. Researchers and students from Scalda, HZ University of Applied Sciences and University College Roosevelt will soon - also with other partners - work closely together in the new innovative work environment with research laboratories and practical rooms.

In a period of approximately two weeks, 94 piles will be drilled for the JRCZ. The institute is expected to be completed in 2022. New artist impressions of the JRCZ are available.

Collaboration on innovation
The JRCZ will soon be working on complex issues that are relevant in a delta area such as Zeeland. The research themes are closely related to the DNA of Zeeland: water, energy and food. The knowledge acquired can be applied in many companies. The JRCZ provides a connection between the knowledge institutions, research facilities and the business community in the region. Other research institutes and companies can also use the research facilities.
