HZ has a new research vision, which will be presented during the first edition of the HZ Discovery Café. Join us on Tuesday, February 11, at 4:00 PM at the HZ Tower to hear about the ambitions in research and why this is so important for HZ and our work, all while enjoying snacks and drinks.
Research is a key component of the work at HZ. Since the first professor started in Vlissingen in 2000, applied research has grown significantly. By 2025, HZ will have seventeen research groups.
Three Themes
The research groups and knowledge centers focus on projects in the areas of water, energy, and vitality. These projects have a significant impact on education, knowledge development, and professional practice in Zeeland.
The ambitions, opportunities, and challenges for research are outlined in a new HZ Research Vision. Leading lectoren Jasper van Houcke and Olaf Timmermans, research managers Han van de Sandt and Margot Tempelman, and research advisor Kees Bal will present this vision during the HZ Discovery Café on Tuesday, February 11, at 4:00 PM. Researchers Take the Stage
This is the first edition of this new initiative. The HZ Discovery Café will now take place every six weeks. In a cozy, informal setting, two researchers will take the stage each time. They will share their passion for their work, discuss the challenges faced by a delta region like Zeeland, elaborate on a specific research project, or provide their perspective on current events through their expertise. They will also engage in discussions with the audience. The café is open to anyone interested in research in and for the region.
