KAAP will be a full development, testing and demo location in the fields of food, energy and water. Zeeland companies can test, develop and demonstrate new products there in cooperation with education and the government. KAAP is located at the Kenniswerf.

Dockwize and partners such as the HZ want KAAP to grow into a hotspot with national and international appeal. Its capacity will be three times larger. The project is partly made possible by a contribution from the New Waves programme that scales up partnerships between education, research, industry and governments. "New ways of collaboration are essential to find solutions to the complex challenges in food, energy and water. With this project, we can expand existing labs in Zeeland, attract new startups and set up innovative projects," says Marlon Baarends of Dockwize.
