The doors of the Joint Research Center Zeeland (JRCZ) and the ZB Middelburg will be wide open again on Saturday, October 5th, for the second edition of Science Day. The JRCZ and the ZB are organizing this special day together for the second time.

Children aged 8 to 14 will discover the world of technology and science on this day through experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Organizations from across the province will be present at the JRCZ and ZB and will contribute to the event. A small train will run between the two locations. All activities are free of charge.

Program

There are more than 30 different workshops, shows, and demonstrations. A small selection from the extensive program:

- Programming with a mini robot

- Experiments with hydrogen

- The largest computer screen in Zeeland

- Escape Room candy factory

- Shows: Energy Experts and Chemical Explosions

- Making bracelets from electric wire

- Experiencing police work in Virtual Reality

- Making plastic from seaweed...

...and much, much more.

Participation

Registration for Science Day in Middelburg is not necessary, but for some activities, there is a limited number of spots available for children. A complete overview of the day's program is available on the ZB website.
