On Wednesday, June 14, Hans Cappon will be inaugurated as lector in Water Technology at HZ University of Applied Sciences. You are invited to attend. The festive afternoon will take place in the auditorium of the HZ at Het Groene Woud 1 in Middelburg. You can register here.
Hans took over from Niels Groot in 2020, but partly due to the corona crisis he has not yet been inaugurated. This will still take place on June 14.
Right water, right place, right time
'Water technology is about the right water in the right place at the right time'. In a delta area such as Zeeland that salinates, wets in winter and dries out in summer, it is a major task to provide all stakeholders - industry, agriculture, residents and nature - with sufficient, good quality water. In his lecture speech, "The beauty of water at stake," Cappon explains what water technology can contribute to this.
The program starts at 2 p.m. and lasts until 4:45 p.m. and consists of a symposium with several speakers and Cappon's lecture speech. Afterwards there will be a reception where you can congratulate Hans on his appointment.
