On Friday, March 14, the Gala of Water will take place at Tivoli Vredenburg. This event brings together the water sector and highlights the important role universities of applied sciences play in water research and innovation.

More than 70 percent of our planet consists of water. We drink it, cook with it, swim in it, and use it for washing. Water is essential for life—but what is the current state of our water? Is there enough available? And could it even pose a threat?

On Friday, March 14, New Scientist, in collaboration with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, is organizing the very first Gala of Water. The program is diverse and covers themes such as water quality, quantity, safety, and availability. Barbara Oomen is one of the speakers.
