She graduated from Nyenrode Business University with a master's degree in Tax Law. For this, she conducted research on the tax burden of single- and double-income earners.
At the University of Amsterdam, she obtained her master's degree Teacher of first-degree General Economics and Business Economics. For this she did research on how students in secondary education experience business economics. Marijke finds it important that individuals can use their strengths and are given room to do so.
