HZ University of Applied Sciences and GGD Zeeland signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday. In doing so, they have recognised the importance of working together on a structural basis in the areas of practice-oriented research, work placements and educational enrichment, for example by having students work on issues raised by GGD Zeeland.

The agreement, signed by HZ Executive Director Richard Liefting and GGD Director Ida Ouweneel, runs until 2031.

Arjen Scheele, Heidi van Hees, Eva Legemate and Jeroen Vreeke from HZ Nexus, and Nikkie de Koster and Arjan van Schaik from GGD Zeeland will be responsible for shaping the collaboration.

ARC Vitality

During the meeting at the HZ Café, professor Olaf Timmermans gave a presentation on ARC Vitality, which encompasses a number of research groups that have many points of contact with the work of GGD Zeeland. Examples include Healthy Region and the HZ Knowledge Centre for Zeeland Society.
