Bob Romboud

After many years in business, Bob transferred to HZ University of Applied Sciences in 1997. Until 2019, Bob primarily taught Electronics, Control Systems and Drive Engineering. In 2019, he joined the Delta Power research group.

Bob is active in the research program on tidal energy. He plays a key role in implementing the processes to control and measure the operation of bidirectional pumps/turbines in the Delta Power lab. Here, researchers simulate how such bidirectional pumps/turbines would function in a barrier between, for example, the North Sea and a lake like Lake Grevelingen.
In addition, Bob is active in running and jointly developing the Hydrogen Lab. In this lab, Delta Power can train students and educate interested stakeholders about hydrogen by demonstrating technology related to the use of green hydrogen.
