Our Open Day is packed with exciting activities and opportunities to learn about life at HZ University of Applied Sciences. Here's what you can expect:
- Get a feeling of our HZ campuses
We open our doors for you! This is your chance to get a true understanding of the HZ experience, walk around, explore our campuses' features from classrooms to library to common rooms and cafeteria.
- Explore our diverse degree programmes
At HZ, we offer a range of programmes designed to give you the practical skills and knowledge you need to succeed in today’s fast-paced world. Whether you're interested in technology or business, we have something for you.
- Talk with students, teachers and international office representatives
Hear stories and opinions from student ambassadors, get useful insights from our lecturers and get assistance from the international office representatives who will be there to guide you through a successful study choice.
- Tour of APV Housing
Leaving the nest to pursue your higher education is a big step in your life, better to do so knowing that a warm and welcoming place will be your home! You have the opportunity to visit the student campuses from our housing partner APV in Vlissingen and Middelburg.

You may bring someone such as a parent, partner or friend. They don't need to have a ticket.
Your registration ticket. You will receive your QR code in the mail.
Yes, you can use your ticket in both locations.
A shuttle service is available upon request. Please contact the HZ International Office in the Atrium (Vlissingen) or the JRCZ Ground Floor (Middelburg) for assistance.
In Vlissingen, there are parking areas around the campus. If parking is full, you can also park at Orionis or Scalda. The NS train station is a 10-minute walk away.
In Middelburg, limited parking is available at the Kousteensedijk car park which is an 8-minute walk from campus. Upon showing your entry card, you can obtain an exit card at the HZ reception desk. Alternatively, you can park at Rijkswaterstaat between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. There are 2 designated parking spaces for people with disabilities at Het Groene Woud 1. The NS train station is a 10-minute walk away.
Studying at HZ
HZ University of Applied Sciences has around 4,800 students across four study years enrolled in about 25 bachelor’s degree programmes, 10 of which are offered in English. With more than 800 international students, we’re proud of our vibrant mix of Dutch and international cultures. Small class sizes are guaranteed, thanks to our close-knit community, giving you the chance for personal attention and an excellent learning experience.

At the Open Day (on-campus), you have the chance to meet our student associations and discover all the exciting opportunities available to you at HZ Community. Get to know HZ Sport, HZ Green Office, HZ Cult, the Student Success Centre and The Work Zone which is our very own student employment agency.
