Natan Hoefnagel has been teaching HZ Water Management students about ecosystems, biodiversity and water quality since 2021. He also works half of his appointment as a researcher in the Aquaculture research group. In projects, he mainly works on models to predict shellfish growth using the so-called ‘Dynamic Energy Budget’ theory (DEB).

Natan studied marine biology at the University of Groningen and did PhD research on temperature tolerance of marine cold-blooded animals at Radboud University Nijmegen.
