The NextGen4Food project was set up to attract, connect, and retain young talent in the field of food for the Zeeland region. One of the objectives is to organize a monthly meeting where young talent working in the food industry (processing industry) can come together, exchange knowledge, and network.

The first meeting will take place on Friday, February 27, at HZ University of Applied Sciences in Middelburg. Between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m., participants will take part in a fermentation workshop. Professor Tanja Moerdijk and researchers from her Marine Biobased Chemistry research group will explain how to ferment, why it can be useful, and give a tour of the laboratories of the Joint Research Center Zeeland where they work.
