In March and early April 2026, work will be carried out on the Keersluisbrug. On behalf of the municipality, the traffic lights at the intersection will be replaced and the province will carry out major maintenance on the bridge. The work will overlap in part.
Bridge closed
The Keersluis Bridge will be completely closed from Wednesday 25 March to Friday 3 April 2026 for bridge maintenance. This applies to cars, cyclists and shipping.
Cyclists can use the Sloebrug or the Sluizen as an alternative. Motorists can use the Sloebrug as an alternative. The diversions will also be clearly signposted by the province.
New traffic lights
The traffic lights on the bridge will be replaced. This work will start on Monday 6 April and is expected to take two weeks. The traffic lights will be temporarily switched off during the work. Traffic controllers will direct traffic during the day.
