Monday, 3 November marks the start of a new edition of We Explore Together week (WET week). For five days, more than 300 students will work in teams to find solutions to questions posed by entrepreneurs, organisations and research groups.
The majority of participants are studying one of the technical programmes at HZ University of Applied Sciences, but students from the Tourism Management, Finance and Control, and Business Administration programmes are also taking part. In addition, several dozen students from University College Roosevelt and Scalda have registered. In mixed groups, they will consider, for example, what can be done with residual flows in potato processing, how the water from Lake Veere can be desalinated in an energy-neutral way, design an “iconic covered route” at the Kenniswerf and map the groundwater flows at Buitenplaats Overduin.
All assignments are themed around the Sustainable Development Goals. On Friday 7 November, the week will conclude with a large event at HZ University of Applied Sciences and the JRCZ in Middelburg. Here, all teams will present their solutions to the clients. The event will take place from 1.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
