Hendrik-Jan van Arenthals started as chairman of the Executive Board of HZ University of Applied Sciences on Monday.
He is no stranger to education in Zeeland. Hendrik-Jan was previously director-administrator of Mondia Scholengroep and chairman of the board at Scalda. He was at the helm of the vocational education institution for more than ten years. During that period, he collaborated with HZ in various ways. ‘I already know HZ well from the outside, but now I will also get to know it well from the inside,’ says the new chair. Hendrik-Jan will work on the board alongside Richard Liefting, who started on 1 October.
Interim directors Jacomine Ravensbergen and John Dane stepped down on 1 November.
