Professor in Art | Culture | Transitions Godelieve Spaas is organising an exhibition on the ground floor of the HZ Tower in Vlissingen, starting on 14 January: Vrij Zicht (Clear View).
She is doing this together with Luk Sponselee from the Zesde Kolonne. The opening also marks the launch of the lectureship, which is co-funded by the Delta Climate Centre. ‘We want to give art and culture a structural place in education and research in the field of transitions,’ says Godelieve.
Artist in residence
Eight artists will be exhibiting their work on the ground floor of the tower. Earlier this year, they all spent two weeks as artists in residence in the Stuurhut on the edge of Stationsplein in Vlissingen. In the building, they created paintings, video art, lectures and installations. Through their work, they explore how unobstructed views give space to transitions.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge until the end of March in the lobby of the HZ tower (when there are no meetings).
