A new school, a new study programme, a new class, and for some students, even a whole new country. The first 100 days at HZ are exciting, challenging, but also fun! You'll dive into your program, get to know your classmates better, and make your student room a new home. Students Fleur and Indira share their experiences during their first 100 days at HZ.
Fleur and Indira were both enrollled in a different study programme before switching to the full-time Pedagogy study programme at HZ. They both find HZ and the people in their study programme to be "friendly." The classes are smaller, so you quickly get to know your classmates personally. Classes are also held in a classroom instead of a lecture hall, making it easier to raise your hand and ask questions during class. "This suits me much better," says Fleur. The personal contact with the lecturers is also appreciated. "The lecturers are always ready to help if you have a question," says Indira.
The lecturers are always ready to help if you have a question.
However, Fleur and Indira faced challenges during the first 100 days of their studies. Indira dropped out of her previous study programme and therefore feels pressured to pass her Pedagogy study programme. Fleur recognizes this feeling as well. "But I know myself well," she says. The period before the exams is nerve-wracking, but afterward, she's also able to let go. "And I also need a little pressure to work well. A little bit of pressure on the boiler."
