Yoeri Guépin

In my artistic practice, I explore – through exhibitions, films, workshops and participatory projects – how ecological and phenomenological processes can serve as a basis for community-building and collective forms of learning, caring and creating. My projects are long-term and collaborative in nature, and often take their starting point from ecosystems on the margins of society. My artistic practice has been shaped in part by growing up in various biodynamic farming communities, where culture and socio-ecological justice occupied a central place in the philosophy of agriculture. I hold an MFA from the Dutch Art Institute (DAI) and have recently taken part in residency programmes in Nesse, Terneuzen and at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. My work has been exhibited in various museums and art institutions both at home and abroad.
