My work centres on restoring the relationship between humans and nature, based on the idea that humans are not separate from nature but are themselves part of it. In doing so, I create spaces where slowing down, wonder, doubt and multiple voices are allowed to exist, and where nature is a conversation partner. My final-year research project, ‘Expedition: Pasje op de Plaats?!’, nominated for the HKU Awards 2026, marked an important step in my development as a creator and researcher. For me, design-based research is not a method, but an attitude of listening, observing, feeling, playing and creating meaning together.
Within the Art Culture Transition Research Group at HZ University of Applied Sciences, I link research and education by further developing my working method, sharing it and making it transferable.
