As part of the Aquatuur research project, the Wetland Event will take place on Thursday, September 10.

During the event, entrepreneurs will receive information about how treatment wetlands can contribute to better surface water quality. The researchers, including several from the HZ research groups Water Technology and Governance of Regional Transitions, will share the results from the pilot location in Assenede during the afternoon. The non-technical obstacles to a broader rollout will also be discussed, and there will be ample opportunity to connect with one another. At the end of the event, you can visit the demonstration site in Assenede. Everyone is welcome, but the event is primarily intended for energy users who use surface water for various applications where the quality leaves something to be desired. You can register for the Wetland Event via this link.

The Aquatuur partners will demonstrate nature-based solutions to improve water quality and quantity. In doing so, they focus on a systemic approach that integrates socio-ecological and socio-economic values.
