Step 2. Register for Study Abroad minor 2026-2027
If currently you are in the 2nd year of your programme, you can register for the Study Abroad minor in 2026-2027 from 10 November 2025. Please note: during the registration you only have to choose the partner institution(s) where you would like to study, not yet the courses you would like to follow.
Important for you to know
If you have been admitted to the 2nd year, you have the right to register. Even if you have not yet obtained your P at the time of registration. However, if, at that time, you have obtained less than 50 EC of the P, it's good to contact your study coach for advice on your choice to do your minor abroad.
Two registration rounds
There are two rounds to register for the Study Abroad Minor. Most students register during the 1st round, so be aware that many of the (especially popular) places will be full if you decide to apply during the 2nd round. Registration is only possible through Osiris.
How do you register?
- First read the manual 'Apply for a Study Abroad minor'.
- You can register through Osiris (will open on 10 November 2025).
1st round: 10 November - 30 November 2025
This round you can register for either the 1st or the 2nd semester of 2026-2027. So either for the autumn 2026 or the spring 2027 semester. You decide which semester is best for you.
2nd round: 1 April-1 May 2026
This round you can only apply for the 2nd semester of 2026-2027. So that is the spring semester 2027. Starting April 1, you can see how many places are still available for each partner institution on our online platform.
From 00:00 a.m. April 1, the online application will be open.
Tips for registration
- Fill out 6 partner institutions on the registration form; rank your 1st choice first.
- Fill out a partner institution only once; don't fill out one partner institute for both the autumn and the spring semester.
- Take the time to make your choice; after you have submitted your application form, you can't make changes anymore. During the 1st round it's not 'first come, first served' as you can read in step 3.
- Don't forget to click on 'submit', otherwise will not receive your registration.
- In the Osiris system, you can only choose one semester for your SAM. It may be so that, at a particular partner institution, you prefer to study there in the other semester (e.g., because you find the courses offered better). You can indicate in Osiris which partner(s) this applies to. This comment/question appears when you have entered your choices.

Fleur Gorsse, a Logistics Engineering student, about her experience in Kufstein, Austria
The main reason why I wanted to do my minor abroad was that I wanted to meet new people from other countries, broaden my knowledge and get to know a new and different perspective on subjects in the business and economics sector.
I am very happy with my experience in Austria and wouldn’t change it for the world. I met some amazing people from all over the world (from countries like Mexico, South Korea, Finland, Germany, but also some awesome fellow Dutchies) and learned a lot about myself.
If you ever get the opportunity to do some time abroad in your studies, just do it! I know it is a big step and it can be hard sometimes, but you will get stronger afterwards and learn so much about the world and about yourself and you will make friends for life.
