Examination board
The HZ examination board is there to ensure that all students who leave the HZ with a diploma meet the requirements set by the study programme. In addition, they advise the executive board on numerous education-related matters.
Tasks of the examination board include:
- Deciding on the awarding of certificates
- Ensuring the quality of exams and tests
- Deciding on fraud cases
- Deciding on exemption requests
- Make decisions about the (negative) binding study advice (NBSA)
- Approve or reject minor choices
The HZ has a central examination board with a departmental examination board for each domain.
If you want to make a request to the (departmental) examination board, first contact your study career coach for help. Requests can be e-mailed to the departmental examination board in which your programme is represented:
- Programmes of the domain Business, Vitality & Hospitality (BVH): dex.bvh@hz.nl
- Programmes of the domain Health, Education & Wellbeing (HEW): dex.hew@hz.nl
- Programmes of the domain Technology, Water & Environment (TWE):
The TWE departmental examination board is divided into two groups of study programmes, based on the HTNO domains. Group A consists of Applied Science (AS), Engineering (ENG) and Maritime Operations (MO). Group B consists of Built Environment (BE), HBO-i and Global Project and Change Management (GPCM). Below you can see which group your study programme belongs to. - Group A: Chemistry, Engineering, Energy Transition Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management and Maritime Officer: dex.twe-a@hz.nl
- Group B: Architecture and Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Management, Information & Communication Technology and GPCM: dex.twe-b@hz.nl
If you disagree with a decision of the (departmental) examination board, you can lodge a motivated appeal with the Examination Appeals Board within six weeks after the decision via faciliteithz@hz.nl.
