IB: International Business

Have you got a real head and heart for business but are not that keen on languages? Then International Business without additional languages is the right study track for you. Within this study track, the additional languages are replaced by two additional international business modules. In other words: you delve deeper into the world of business.

Each study track includes Business English modules. With these you have a C1 level command of the English language after you graduate. In addition, each study route also includes several primary modules, to be completed by every student. In the first year, these include modules such as Market Research, Company Health Check, Export Plan, Sustainability, Business & Innovation. Each study year is divided into four blocks of ten weeks each.

  • Client Relations Management
  • International Sales & Sales Techniques

Your own company
During the second study year of International Business, you set up your own company, together with some of your fellow students, a so-called Student Company. Together, you brainstorm about the product or service you be bringing to market. You write a business plan and, of course, you should not forget about the financial picture and marketing.

Year 3

The third study year of the International Business course at the HZ is all about your minor and your internship abroad. What country you go to is entirely up to you.

Year 4

The fourth and final study year of the International Business course consists of two parts. In the first semester, you will be in school, preparing for your graduation project. The second semester will focus on the implementation: you will perform in-company research at a Dutch or foreign company.
