Within this challenging associate professorship, the most important question is how every pupil can be offered the opportunity to exceed his or her own expectations and those of their surroundings. What must every pupil do to get the best out of himself or herself; what does this mean for the learning environment and the role of the teacher? It goes without saying, that this leads to a continuous search for the link between scientific knowledge about the way pupils learn and the educational practice, as a result of which the University of Applied Sciences, the field of work, and - of course - the primary school pupil can optimally profit from the yields of the research.
