Joost Vette

Joost Vette studied Industrial Design at TU Delft, with a focus on circular materials and 3D printing. For his thesis, he developed a 3D printing material from Zeeland mussel shells, as an example of the potential of 3D printing in a local, circular economy. After his studies, he worked as a developer of circular materials at Bureau Waardenburg and currently at the start-up Fungalogic. Fungalogic aims to develop mycelium composites from Dutch biomass residues for applications in construction. As of September 2018, Joost is employed at HZ, as a lecturer at the Architecture programme and junior researcher and project leader at the Biobased Building lectorate. His research mainly focuses on the development and marketing of mycelium composites.
