Elisa Platjouw

Elisa Platjouw is a researcher in the Marine Biobased Chemistry research group.

She received her HBO Chemistry degree, majoring in Life Sciences from HZ University of Applied Sciences in 2016. After working for over a year as a research assistant in a plant tissue culture company with Phalaenopsis and Anthurium, she continued her career as a Medior Development Analyst in a food safety laboratory.
Here she worked on developing and validating analytical methods with analytical equipment such as GC-TQ-MS, LC-TQ-MS and LC-GC-FID to quantify contaminants such as pesticides, dioxins, MOSHMOAH and 3-MPCD.
She was responsible for coordinating various working groups to ensure the quality and progress of development in the lab.
Since May 2022, she has been working in the Marine Biobased Chemistry research group as a research associate where she continues to develop in the field of flavor analysis. She works with minor students on the development of mineral analysis and fatty acid analysis on milk, among other things. She also collaborates on other research projects and contributes to applied research.
