Mischa Beckers and Pádraig Naughton of the HZ, Jorik Creemers of SAZ+ and Evelien Marteijn, who among other things works as a sewer manager for the municipalities of Hulst and Schouwen-Duiveland, explain in a special webinar on Wednesday what the Riobase project entails and why it is so successful.

They will tell about the background of the project, explain how the partners worked together and show how the tool for sewer managers developed during Riobase works. The webinar is organized by Platform WOW, a platform for managers of roads, waterways and the water.

Nominated for an award

Every two years, it awards a prize for the best collaborative projects in road, waterway and water management. Riobase is one of eight nominees for the 2023 WOW Prize.

In the project, researchers and students from the HZ, all Zeeland municipalities, Evides Water Company and Scheldestromen Water Board are working together to future-proof sewer system management. The webinar can be seen on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
