In the Netherlands the government does not pay for medical expenses of foreign students. As a foreign student, you are obliged to conclude a health insurance and a third-party insurance. Also make sure you a have travel insurance. Check on forehand with your insurance company whether everything is covered for your study abroad. Make photocopies of the policies and leave them at your home address.
