Bank account
In order to make payments at HZ (copying, printing, buying food at the cafeteria) you need a bankcard with a ‘chipknip’. As this is typically Dutch, you need to open a bank account at a Dutch bank.
This can be any bank you prefer but Rabobank Vlissingen has a special package for HZ-students. You can use this bank account as a normal account if you put money on it, or transfer money from your ‘home’ bank account. You can order this bank pass by following
these instructions. If you do this before August, 10th, you will receive your bank pass on your arrival at HZ. If you start the application process between August, 11th and August, 31st, you will receive your bank pass on September, 17th. We will explain everything about how to use the ‘chipknip’ in the 1st week of your arrival.
